Centered around Mt. Tanigawa, one of Japan’s 100 famous mountains, it is a mountainous area where you can enjoy a magnificent alpine mood while the altitude is less than 2,000 m. The Niigata prefecture side is gentle, and the Gunma prefecture side is a steep rock wall with asymmetrical mountain ridges. There are several courses to Tanigawadake, such as the Nishikuro Ridge Course, which is one of the three major rapid climbs in Japan, but if you use the ropeway, you can easily reach the summit in about 15 minutes to Tenjindaira and about two and a half hours from there. , The feature is that there are many climbers who use this course. Light trekking is also popular, where you can see Ichinokura on the Oiwa wall from the encounter with the swamp. There are many hot springs, and you can sweat after descending the mountain.
