Red Brick Office

The Red Brick Office was built in 1888 (Meiji 21). Using Hokkaido products for many building materials, including bricks, this building features American-style neo-baroque and is designated as national important cultural property.
You can’t find any Western-style buildings of the Meiji era as excellent as this one so it’s a must-see.
You can also visit the museum for free and see the governor’s office at that time and materials and exhibits that show the history of Hokkaido.
