The official name is “Former Sapporo Agricultural School Performance Hall”. This school opened in 1876 (Meiji 9) for the purpose of training leaders in the development of Hokkaido, and the performance hall (clock tower) was built in 1878 (Meiji 11) at the suggestion of Dr. Clark.

You can also see the inside of the clock tower, and its history from various perspectives. There is also a section where you can hear the sound of the bells from all over the world.
