Wajima Morning Market

Wajima Morning Market, which is said to be originated from exchanging fish and vegetables on the festival days of shrines during the Heian period, is one of Japan’s three major morning markets.

Approximately 200 stalls line up on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday from around 8 o’clock, and a variety of things from fresh seafood to dried fish and vegetables to folk crafts are avilable.

Enjoy walk-and-eat the morning market food such as “Egara Manju” and “Ishiru Senbei”.
