Abashiri Prison
Abashiri Prison was once called “the farthest prison” and was feared by even criminals.
On the site is as big as 3.5 Tokyo Domes, the building that was actually used from the Meiji era, as well as the “central guard station” and “government building” designated as important cultural properties, are preserved.
