Lake Mashu
Lake Mashu is a famous caldera lake known as the “Lake of Fog”. The maximum depth of this lake is about 211.4 m and the circumference is about 20 km. What is different from other lakes is that no rivers flow into it and rain occupies most of its water source, making its transparency amazingly high.
The fog covers this lake from June to July so it’ll be only half a month you can see it all day. The weather often changes suddenly, and it is not uncommon for the lake to get concealed by the dense fog right away even on a clear-sky day. The dramatic change of scenery is truly mysterious. When the weather is nice, you can see “Mashu Blue”.
