Tamaudun

The successive kings of the Ryukyu dynasty have been buried in Tamaudun since it had been built by Sho Shin of Ryukyu to mourn his father, Sho En. Tamaudun is divided into three buildings: Higashimuro, Nakamuro, and Nishimuro. Although it is a tomb, it also looks like a palace.

This spot had been severely damaged by the Battle of Okinawa, however, it was restored in the 1970s and is now regaining its former appearance.
