Katsuren Gusuku

Katsuren Gusuku is a group of castle ruins that is registered as a World Heritage Site as “Gusuku Sites and Related Heritage Sites of the Kingdom of Ryukyu”. Located on a green hill at an altitude of about 100 m, you can enjoy the spectacular 360-degree open view from the top of it.
Historically, it is said that the castle was built around the 12th to 13th centuries and a large stone that is considered to be a god is left on the summit.
