Kyoto City Kyocera Museum
“Kyoto City Kyocera Museum” reopened in the spring of 2020. The original one was built in 1933 (Showa 8) and is the oldest existing public art museum in Japan, and you can still enjoy the retro-modern design that combines Japanese and Western styles.
Focusing on Japanese paintings from the Meiji era to the Showa era, more than 3,800 works such as Western paintings and sculptures are stored and exhibited in the “Collection Room”, as well as a wide range of exhibitions and events.
