Toji
The head temple of the Shingon sect, “Toji”, is the only surviving remains of Heiankyo and is one of the constituent World Heritage Sites.
The five-storied pagoda, the symbol of Toji, is the tallest wooden building in Japan.
This shrine’s cherry blossoms and autumn leaves are also something you don’t want to miss and they are lit up at night during the season.
