Maizuru is a port town located in the northeastern part of Kyoto Prefecture. Since the opening of the guardian office in the Meiji era, many red brick buildings have been built and they still remain.

The retro red-brick warehouses have fashionable cafes, museums, and event halls inside.

From the pleasure boat that sails around the harbor, you can also see the “Aegis” ship of the Self-Defense Forces and the helicopter-mounted escort ship “Hyuga“.
