Yayama

Mt”Misen” with an altitude of about 535m has been worshiped as a sacred body of mountain worship since ancient times.

After passing through strange rocks such as the giant rock arch “Kuguriiwa” and the giant monolithic “Makuiwa”, there is an observatory at the top of the mountain, from which you can view the islands in the Seto Inland Sea and even Shikokurenzan.

You can go up to the Shishi rock by ropeway, and it takes about 30 minutes on foot from there to the summit.

At the foot of the mountain, “Autumn Valley Park,” about 200 maples are colored all at once in the fall, making it a famous spot for autumn leaves.

Yayama is also known as a power spot. In the Reihi-do in front of the Yayama main hall, an “indelible fire” that has been burning for about 1200 years is preserved, and it has been certified as a “lover’s sanctuary” because of the idea of ”not extinguishing the fire of love”.
