Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum opened in 1955 with the aim of passing the misery of atomic bombs on to people all over the world and contributing to the abolition of nuclear weapons and the realization of lasting peace in the world.

In the main building, there are exhibits of photographs and materials from the atomic bombing, including the relics of the people who were exposed to the atomic bomb.

At the East Building, not only can you learn the history of Hiroshima before and after the bombing but also how cruel the nuclear weapons can be.

They also hold hands-on lectures by A-bomb survivors and lend out materials for peace learning.
