Centered on Hozenji, approximately 60 long-established Japanese cuisine, bars, okonomiyaki restaurants, and kushikatsu restaurants are lined up in about 80m cobblestone alley. The characters on the signboard at the entrance of this Yokocho were made by Kanbi Fujiyama in the west and Katsura Harudanji 3rd in the east.

Nishimukai Fudo Myo, located in the center of “Hozenji Yokocho”, is known as “Mizukake Fudo-san”. It is covered with green moss grown by water sprinkled by people who make wishes.
