Atami plum garden
Atami plum garden is located on the mountain side of Atami, about 500m from JR Kurumiya Station. Opened in 1890, there are about 850 trees, including old plum trees over 100 years old.
Thanks to to the warm winters and cool summers, plums begin to bloom around the end of the year, so it is famous as a spot where you can see “the earliest blooming plums in Japan” . Moreover, the autumn leaves that are in full bloom in early December are “the latest autumn leaves in Japan”.
Especially during the “Plum Festival” and “Maple Festival”, many people come enjoy these flowers..
