Jacaranda Promenade
Jacaranda belongs to the family of Nozenkazura from South America and is one of the three largest flowering trees in the world along with Houoboku and Kaenboku.
In 1990, Jacaranda Promenade originally started with two trees donated by the international sister-city of Cascais, Portugal, and now became a flower that symbolizes the early summer of Atami.
No place has as much Jacaranda blooms as in Honshu, making Atami’s atmosphere warmer.
During the flowering season from the end of May to June, many people come to see the beautiful and bright blue flowers.
