Shiromine Park, which sits on the hillside of Kamiyama at an altitude of 500 meters, is another famous cherry blossom spot not only in spring but surprisingly in autumn. The winter cherry blossoms, also known as “October cherry blossoms”, also bloom from late autumn to early winter.

From mid-November to the end of November, when the autumn leaves in the park are in full bloom, you can enjoy cherry blossom and autumn leaf viewing at the same time, which is pretty rare in Japan.

Every year in late October, the “Winter Cherry Blossom Festival” is held, and the cherry blossoms are lit up at night.

There is also a Shiromine campsite, a barbecue house, and an observation deck in the park so you can bbq and enjoy the colored leaves.

[By train] From JR Honjo Station, get off at the last stop of the Asahi Bus, Shinsen Sogo Shisho-mae. Transfer to the Kamikawa Municipal Bus bound for Fuyuzakura no Yado Shinsen and get off at Shiromine Park.
