Omagari Fireworks

One of the three major fireworks festivals in Japan, the National Fireworks Competition is held on the last Saturday of August every year along the Omono River. First-class pyrotechnicians selected from all over the country aim to win honors such as the Prime Minister’s Award, and launch highly creative fireworks with novel themes. Also, this is the only place in Japan where you can see fireworks in the daytime that compete with bright colors and shapes that are a little different from the nighttime.
