Shiunzan Chohoji Temple (Rokkakudo)
Shiunzan Chohoji Temple is said to have been built by Prince Shotoku. Since the shape of the main hall is Hexagon(Rokkaku), it is also called Rokkakudo.
It is said that the flower offering to the Buddhist altar here was later developed into Kado by the chief priest Ikenobo, and it is also known as the birthplace of Ikebana.
From Starbucks Coffee on the 1st floor of the next building, you can see the hexagonal hall in front of you. Why don’t you take a coffee and enjoy this historic temple?
