“Kuramaji” is famous as a temple where Minamoto no Yoshitsune is said to have spent his childhood. Gancho, a high-ranking brother of Kanshinwa, worshiped Bishamonten and found a temple in the Nara era.

The statue of Bishamon, a national treasure, is enshrined in the Reihoden. There are long stone stairs that continue to the main hall, but you can also take a cable car halfway.
