Ōyu kanketsusen
Ōyu kanketsusen is one of the most representative geysers of Atami’s seven hot springs and is a worldwide famous geyser as well.
In the past, the gushes spouted six times a day, and the appearance of hot water and steam alternately blowing out with vigorous force is said to have looked as if the ground was shaking.
Since the amount of gush has gradually decreased since the middle of the Meiji era, it is now artificially spouted to remind us of the old days.
