Founded in 1890, the famous shaved ice shop “Azami Reizo” is popular, making it one of Nagatoro’s summer traditions and creating a long queue in front of the shop at all times. Using natural ice from Hodosan, the shaved ice melts in your mouth so smoothly. The popular menu includes the elegantly sweet Kuramoto Secret Mitsu made with Wasanbon, and the Asami Fruit Juice Special with its rich fruit flavors.

In addition to the Kanazaki main store, there is a branch (Hodosando branch) on the way to Hodosan Shrine from Nagatoro Station. So check this one if the main store is too crowded.
