Would you like to experience firefly squid fishing before dawn? The firefly squid fishing season takes place only a few months of the year and it is only one month from April to May when you can actually see it at sea because that’s when spring spawning becomes active. The blue light emitted by the firefly squid on the fixed fishing net transforms the dark Sea of Japan into a world of fantasy.

The many lights of the firefly squid that sway like a pageant of light are quite an experience that can only be seen in Toyama Bay! In addition, the rising sun over the Tateyama mountain range will be an unforgettable memory!
