Cormorant Fishing In Nagara River
The opening event of cormorant fishing held on May 11th every year.
In the evening, the cruises for viewing depart one after another, and the drum performance and fireworks will stir up the excitement.

The Basic schedule is as follows
15:00 Prayer for safety of the festival
15:40 New ship launching ceremony and naming ceremony
18:00 Departure of the cruises for viewing.
18:30 Departure of the dance-boat
20:00 Cormorant fishing (4 fireworks)

Location: Around Minatomachi, Gifu City
Access: From JR Gifu Station or Meitetsu Gifu Station, take the Gifu Bus bound for “N80 Takatomi”, destination numbers “N32” to “N86” bound for Gifu Park / Takatomi, and take the “city loop counterclockwise” for 16 minutes, 220 yen one way. A 1-minute walk from “Nagara Bridge”
