5 MUST-SEE spots

Ise Jingu

Ise Jingu is called “Ise-san” by the locals and has been popular as the hometown of the Japanese people for a long time. Ise Jingu is not a single shrine, but is centered around the Kotai Jingu “Naiku” and the Toyokedai Jingu “Geku”. It is a general term for 125 shrines and shrines, and is officially called “Jingu”.
There are two types of prayers at Ise Jingu: “Mike” and “Daidaikagura”. The ritual is a general prayer and is performed at the palace of the inner shrine and the Kagura palace of the outer shrine. The large kagura is accompanied by elegant dances and gagaku and is performed at the Kaguraden in the inner and outer shrines. The reception is at each Kagura hall. Fill out the application form and apply with the first ear fee.

Toba Aquarium

The largest number of breeding species in Japan!
Toba Aquarium, which breeds 30,000 sea and river creatures of about 1,200 species.
In particular, the dugong, which is the only breed in Japan, is a must-see. In March 2015, a new experience-based zone “Miracle Forest” will open to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the museum’s opening! The cat “Snadri cat” that lives by the water is exhibited for the first time in a Japanese aquarium, and there are waterfalls and suspension bridges in the zone. You can enjoy the throbbing and exciting zone filled with harassment regardless of age.

Matsusaka city

The Kintetsu Limited Express to Matsusaka Station is about 10 minutes from Iseshi Station and about 25 minutes from Toba Station.
A perfect location to visit as a set before and after visiting Ise. Matsusaka prospered as a commercial town during the Edo period and became a city of wealthy merchants. The ruins of the castle and the samurai residence still remain, and the retro atmosphere drifts in the streets. It is also recommended to take a walk in the stylish kimono of Matsusaka Momen. You can’t miss the authentic Matsusaka beef. The marbling visuals that draw beautiful curves that are called “art of meat” are exciting. The soft taste that melts and melts is praised as “excellent!” And “delicious!” I’m looking forward to wondering which one to choose, from long-established sukiyaki to yakiniku.

Suzuka Circuit

A mobility theme park with amusement parks, hotels, restaurants, etc., centered on international racing courses where big races such as the F1 Japan GP and Suzuka 8 Hours are held. At the amusement park “Motopia”, there are attractions that can be enjoyed in cooperation with the family, centering on motorcycle and car attractions that small children can drive alone.

Kumano Kodo

Kumano Kodo is a general term for old roads that connect Kumano Sanzan (Kumano Hongu Taisha, Kumano Hayatama Taisha, Kumano Nachi Taisha) in the southern part of the Kii Peninsula with Ise, Osaka / Wakayama, Takano and Yoshino. It is also registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it will be the 15th anniversary of the World Heritage registration in the first year of Reiwa.
Kumano Kodo has a wide range, and in addition to Iseji, there are five roads: Kiiji, Kobeji, Nakahechi, and Ohechi.
Iseji, which runs southward in the eastern part of the Kii Peninsula, connects Ise Jingu and Kumanosanzan, and is a religious road called “7 times to Ise and 3 times to Kumano”. Since the Edo period, Kumano pilgrimage has been held through Iseji after visiting Ise. Not only the stone pavement and bamboo grove that are typical of Kumano Kodo, but also the course that overlooks Kumano Nada from the pass, the course that overlooks the rice terraces, which is said to be the best in Japan, and the Kumano River worship road.
