Tokyo Daijingu
“Tokyo Daijingu“, built in 1880, is located about a 5-minute walk from JR Iidabashi Station and is said to be the Tokyo branch of Ise Jingu. Visiting this building is said to have the same effect as actually praying at Ise Jingu. Like Ise Jingu, Amaterasu Omikami and Toyouke Omikami are enshrined in Tokyo Daijingu, and are known as “Ise-sama in Tokyo.”
Tokyo Daijingu is also famous for the Shinzen wedding ceremony because this kind of wedding was first held at this shrine in Japan. It has gained attention from many women as this shrine is meant to give them a positive power that benefits in marriage.
“Tokyo Daijingu” is located in the middle of the office district, but the precincts with rich greenery are also something you don’t want to miss. Fireflies are also bred as part of nature conservation. It is a perfect spot for a walk between sightseeing trips.
