Matuyama zoo has an Asian area, an African area, and an Anthropoid area and you can observe many animals from all over the world.

At the Polar Bears Museum, there is an 18m long underwater tunnel, which is the longest in Japan, and you see observe polar bears swimming from it.

The bears jumping into the water and swimming with hair fluttering in the water are something you don’t want to miss.

A “doki-doki taiken”, in which you can see animals’ behavior up close is held every day, is a must-see.
