Daigoji Temple
Daigoji Temple was opened by Rigen Daishi in 874 and is known for cherry-blossom viewing spot where Toyotomi Hideyoshi went to in his later years, and every April, the “Toyotaiko Hanami Procession” is held.
Enjoy the cherry blossoms called “Hana no Daigoji” along with traditional buildings such as the national treasure “five-storied Pagoda”, which is the oldest wooden building in Kyoto, and the “Kondo” relocated from Kishu (Wakayama Prefecture) by Hideyoshi.
The vast vincity is divided into “Shimodaigo” and “Kamidaigo”, and it takes about an hour to walk on the mountain road to reach “Kamidaigo”.

《Bus》 About 30 minutes by Keihan Bus from JR “Kyoto Station”, immediately from the bus stop “Daigoji”

Admission ticket (Sanboin Garden / Garan) Adults 1,000 yen, Junior high school / high school students: 700 yen | Sanboin Goten special visit Adults (junior high school students and above): 500 yen | Reihokan Main Building / Heiseikan special exhibition: 500 yen or more | 600 yen (if you have an admission ticket: 500 yen), junior high school and high school students: 400 yen (if you have an admission ticket: 300 yen)
