Near Ishishimizu Hachimangu, “Matsukado Garden and Museum” where Shojo Shokado, a central figure in the Kanei culture that blossomed in the early Edo period, spent his last years is located.

Its Japanese-style garden is as large as 22,000 square meters.

Here is also the birthplace of Matsukado Bento, and you can enjoy it with the beautiful view of the garden at the adjacent “Kyoto Kichicho Matsukado store”.
