Nakanokura Pass Observatory

From Nakanokura Pass Observatory, you can enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Motosu and Mt. Fuji. It is said that the picture of Mt. Fuji from this spot is used as the original picture of the 1000-yen bill.

The staircase-shaped observation deck can accommodate about 30 people and there is an explanation board for the view; the picture of the 1000 yen bill.

As you will walk on the mountain trail, it is recommended to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. If conditions are met, you may be able to see the exact same view as the picture drawn on the 1000 yen bill.
