Miyajima Aquarium
“Miyajima Aquarium” boasts one of the largest scales and exhibition contents in western Japan. More than 13,000 aquatic creatures of 350 species, such as the symbolic Sunameri and Humboldt penguins.
The main building has 10 zones that show the mysterious world of the Seto Inland Sea. You can observe the ecology up close and there is an area where you can actually touch sea animals. They also hold events 3 to 4 times a day.
