Mimurotoji
“Mimuratoji” is so famous place for hydrangeas that it’s also called “hydrangea temple”.
The hydrangea garden, where 10,000 stocks of about 50 varieties bloom, will be open to the public when the hydrangeas are in full bloom. Azalea in spring and lotus in early summer are also wonderful.
The temple is said to have been built by Emperor Mitsuhito during the Nara period. The parquet Amida Nyorai statue, the side samurai Kannon Seito Bosatsu and Shaka Nyorai statues are housed.
