Takehara, which developed through salt making during the Edo period, still retains the houses built at that time.

The “Takehara Townscape Conservation Area” has been selected as an important traditional building group preservation area in the country, and is also called “Aki no Kokyo”.

If you walk down the street, you will feel as if you have traveled back in time during the Edo period. The fashionable lattice with various decorations is also worth checking.
