Fukuyama Castle

“Fukuyama Castle” was built in 1622 by Katsunari Mizuno, the first Fukuyama feudal lord who was a cousin of Ieyasu Tokugawa.

The castle tower was destroyed by an air raid in 1945 but was rebuilt in 1966.

Currently, the inside of the castle tower is a museum, displaying calligraphy and armor related to the feudal lord Mizuno and Abe.

In spring, many people visit here for cherry blossom viewing.
