Izuyama Shrine enshrines the guardian deity of Genji and is said to be the place where Minamomoto no Yoritomo prayed for Genji’s revival. Also since Hojo Masako and Yoritomo were meeting at this shrine, it is believed to give you blessing for a good marriage.

Its valuable materials are also exhibited in the local museum in the precincts.
