Hamura Zoo Park
“Hamura Zoo Park” was opened in 1978 as Japan’s first municipal (at that time) zoo. Mammals such as reticulated giraffes, zebras, servals and red pandas, birds such as penguins, Indian peafowls, ostriches, flamingos and Harrishawks (pictured), reptiles such as Burmese pythons, and more than 50 species of animals are bred in the park. .. The variety of birds is particularly abundant, and gray crowned cranes and barbary doves can only be seen at Hamura Zoo in Tokyo.
