Blue Pond
On the Blue pond, dead larch is lined up on the blue water surface making the appearance bizarrely beauteous．
The reason why the water is blue is that the groundwater of Mt. Tokachi is mixed with the Biei River to form a component called colloid. The scattered colloidal particles reflect sunlight evenly and only blue light, whose wavelength is short, reaches our eyes.
You can enjoy different blue colors depending on the weather, season, and time zone.
