Kojo no mai is a winter fireworks display held at Lake Kawaguchi. Approximately 2,000 fireworks are launched in 20 minutes, beautifully decorating the clear winter night sky.

Oike Park on the south bank of Lake Kawaguchi is the main venue. The fireworks are launched very nearby and a lot of stalls are lined up so you can feel Japanese Omatsuri vibes here.

 

Other than Oike Park, Tatami rocks and Yagisaki Park are also recommended for viewing.

The area around Lake Kawaguchi is full of Onsens that accept day trip customers. Why don’t you take a hot spring after the fireworks in winter?

[Train / Bus] From “Kawaguchiko” station on the Fujikyu line, take the Kawaguchiko tour bus or Nishiko tour bus and get off at “Kawaguchiko Herbkan”. [Car] Approximately 8 minutes from the “Kawaguchiko” IC on the Central Expressway
