Iwadatami
Nagatoro’s Iwadatami is a vast natural rock that is about 80m wide and about 500m long. The area is also called “the window of the earth” and many scholars make geological surveys on this unique topography.
Designated as a national special natural monument, a great deal of attention has been paid to Iwadatami and the rocks are flat for tourists to walk on and go on a picnic here, making it very popular for both families and couples.
The contrast between the river flowing under the piled rocks and the surrounding mountains is spectacular.
