Takinokashira has long been used as a water supply for agricultural and drinking water. This is a group of huge springs at the northern foot of Mt. Kanpu. The emerald green water surface at the back of the promenade lined with giant cedar trees is highly transparent. It has a somewhat mystical atmosphere. Visiting the water source on weekdays requires permission from the water purification plant office at the entrance. There are also free water stations along the road.
