The Shrine of Water God[Kifune Shrine]

This old shrine enshrines the god of water located at the headwaters of the Kamo River.
The god is also worshiped as a “tie maker” who would tie good connections among people and endless visitors come to pray for various wishes.
The green maple leaves cover as they were the roof of the approach to the shrine sway in the wind, and the pleasant sunlight shines through the trees.
At night, the fresh green maple lit by the light gives off a beauty different from the daytime.
