The Chihiro Art Museum, the “world’s first picture book museum”, is located on the former site of Chihiro Iwasaki’s atelier(picture book author), and houses books from around the world, with a focus on picture books by Chihiro Iwasaki. (Official Website)
The museum is barrier-free so those who are in a stroller or in a wheelchair. It has a “Children’s Room” where you can read picture books and play with toys with your children. There is also a cafe space where you can relax and unwind.
In this museum, there are many picture books from all over the world. Therefore, you might find ones you have read growing up and discover new charms that you didn’t notice when you were a child.
