Omicho Market (Oumicho Ichiba)

The “Omicho Market” has played an important role as a people’s kitchen for about 300 years after it had originally started as a dining room for the Maeda clan of the Kaga domain in 1721.

About 180 stores are lined up across narrow alleys and a variety of products such as fresh seafood, vegetables, fruits, pickles, and confectionery from the Sea of Japan are available here.

The “Omimachi Ichibakan” in the corner of the market has many restaurants where you can try fresh seafood from the market.
