Hida no Sato

Hida no Sato is a museum that restores the traditional houses of the Hida region, including four important cultural properties of the country, such as gassho-zukuri, and recreates the nostalgic life of farming and mountain villages and seasonal events that are handed down in Hida.

Depending on the season, demonstration events like straw work, houndstooth, and sashiko work and hands-on classrooms are held at the old folk house.

Next to the bus stop, there is also the “Hida Takayama Memories Experience Center” where you can enjoy the experience of making the traditional Hida “Sarubobo”. You can visit here without a reservation so why don’t you drop by it.
