Iozen Hida Kokubunji Temple
Iozen Hida Kokubunji Temple was built about 1250 years ago at the request of Emperor Shomu.
With over 1250 years old large ginkgo tree and the bell tower gate in the precinct, the cornerstone of the tower at the time of its construction still exists in the precincts. The three-storied pagoda is also something you don’t want to miss.
The principal image is Yakushi Nyorai, which is designated as a national important cultural property. The memorial service is held on the 8th of every month, and the “Yokaichi” market opens along with it from May to October.
