"Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward" was built in 1910 (Meiji 43) on a hill overlooking Hakodate Port. The shades of blue-gray and yellow were eye-catching, making it the most modern building of its time.

The hall retains the gorgeous atmosphere of the time, such as the guest room and the large hall of 130 tsubo.

You can  wear a dress or tailcoat and take a photo. Also, the view from the terrace on the 2nd floor is somtehing you don't want to miss.
