A-Bomb Dome
At 8:15 on August 6, 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped and exploded right by the “A-Bomb Dome”. This building was registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1996 and conveys the tragedy of the first atomic bomb to the present day.
This building was built in 1915 as a facility for displaying and selling products in Hiroshima Prefecture, and the Hiroshima Prefectural Art Exhibition and Expo were held there.
You can’t go inside but can see the exterior, and it is also lit up from sunset to sunrise.
