Senkou-ji Temple

“Senkoji” is located on the hillside of Mt. Daiho and overlooks the city of Onomichi. The ropeway takes you up there and on the way to it you can see the streets of Onomichi under the red-painted main hall called “Akado” and the giant rock “Tama no Iwa” whose shape looks supernatural.

The temple itself has quite an history that was founded by Kobo Daishi in 806, and is said to give you luck for passing exams, marriage, childbirth, traffic safety, and family safety.
