Sensuijima

Sensuijima is an uninhabited island with a circumference of about 5.2km that locates on the opposite bank of Tomo no Ura, and was named after the saying “an island that is so beautiful that hermits get drunk.”

On the island, there are several observatories with views of Tomo no Ura and the Seto Inland Sea, beautiful beaches, BBQ facilities, promenades, and hot spring facilities right nearby the sea.

Also, don’t miss the “Goshikiiwa”, which is a series of five-colored geological formations. This layer is rare worldwide and is only to be observed only here in Japan.
