Mt. Ishizuchi

Mt. Ishizuchi, the highest mountain in western Japan, sits in the western part of the Shikoku Mountains at an altitude of 1,982 meters. Mt. Ishizuchi is also one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains, Japan’s 100 Views, and Japan’s Seven Spirit Mountains. Its steep mountain trail is known as a training course for mountain worship but don’ worry you can reach up to the 7th station by ropeway or driveway.

The “Mt. Ishizuchi Star Night Tour,” a star observation tour held in a garden at an altitude of about 1,300 meters, is also popular.
